President’s Report

You may have noticed many changes in the NLL over the past 3 years. Extensive facilityimprovements, new levels of play, interleague play in 3-levels with Swampscott, coaches clinics, innovative fund raising, the list goes on. All of these improvements were made while Joe Marini served as president of the Nahant Little League Board of Directors. All Nahant Little Leaguers have benefited from Joe’s commitment, energy, passion and baseball knowledge. Joe has decided to step down as president this year and I have the honor of trying to fill his shoes. My name is David Doyle and I’ve been involved with the NLL for 8 years as a coach, manager and a member Board of Directors. I will do my best to continue the forward progress that Joe initiated. I feel very fortunate to have the support of a very energetic Board. I would like to welcome two new members to the BOD. They are Sherri McDermott and Marc Reenstierna. Among other tasks, the two new members agreed to fill two very important positions. Sheri has agreed to be the secretary and Marc will be the player agent. As we welcome new members, we must say good-bye to old ones. Sherri and Marc will be replacing Sean Dignan and Doug Frauenholz. Although Sean and Doug will still be involved with NLL, they decided not to continue on as BOD members due to the time commitment involved.
